Are you looking to add a unique and eye-catching touch of boho flair to your Valentine’s decor this year? I am here to teach you that a fun way to show someone special that they are loved is by creating a beautiful handmade boho Valentine door hanger.
Boho Valentine Heart Door Hanger
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and it’s time to start thinking about sprucing up your home decor. Why not make a DIY Boho Valentine Door Hanger Wreath to give your door a unique and stylish look? This project is simple, easy, and fun – perfect for any level of wreath maker.
I love working with wooden signs as a simple way to make a quick and easy door hanger. This simple heart cut-out makes for a beautiful background and an easy base to add some flowers and greenery.
Bringing in some pearl ribbon can really help enhance your wreath. I love this wired ribbon because it allows me to roll up some tails and give this hanger the BoHo touch.
In this design, I teach you how to set a perimeter and that is something I teach more in dept in my Design School. If you are interested in gaining more skills when it comes to wreath making I’d love to have you join me over there.
In the meantime let’s get to work and show you how to make a Valentine’s wreath perfect for your front door.

Ingredients
Directions
- Make your bow with two loops and beautiful long tails. Cut your tails. Then repeat doing loops an inch shorter than your first two. Secure with a cable tie. Fluff your bow into sections and flip it over and add a floral pin to the back.
- Set your perimeter and take a small piece of your pampas grass and dip the end in glue and slide it into the top and bottom of your floral foam.
- Separate your bouquet and keep the stems long so you can slide them into your foam pieces. Add your leaves in first around your pampas.
Add your two roses first. Cut your stems shorter and stick in the opposite of each other. - Leave space in the middle for our bow and keep filling up your foam base with the other floral pieces.
- Add in a few more pink grass to fill the space. Then add in some greenery pieces.
- Push your bow into the middle then work your tails into your floral and greenery pieces.
How To Cover Your Mechanics of Wreath Making
The best way I have found to cover up my mechanics when making bows and wreaths is simple things. Spanish moss is a great thing to use when covering up some foam bases. Then when it comes to covering your cable tie when securing your bow I just pop some ribbon around the middle and cover it up so easily and done!

- Start by finding cutting the styrofoam so it is nestled inside of the Green Frankenstein Bucket so that it sits nicely inside and glue down. I like to use both Gorilla Glue and Hot Glue to really secure it for both now and long term.
- Cut Black Garland Base into small sections and set your base, spreading for maximum coverage.
- Prep your picks by grabbing your Purple Green Orange Felt Ball Twig Sprays. Sseparating them into smaller picks. You can also twist the black chenille around your finger to create a fun effect.Â
- Trim your Glitter Eye Ball Picks and add to the stryofoam. Be sure to space them for the best visual display.
- Cut and prep the White Black Chenille Curly Stems add some dimension to them by curling with your fingers to really give them life.
- Stem back and look at your your centerpiece. Are thier bald or blank spaces? Fluff you black garland to fill and use the wires in your products from Keleas.com to really get the pieces where you want them.
- Grab one of your Glitter Curly Velvet Ball Picks and trim the stem down to a couple of inches. Fluff out your pick, and then place it to the left of your bow, tucking it behind the bow to have it peek out from behind it.Â
