Craft Booth Filler from Floral Home Accents

Are you looking for a nice piece to have to hang in your home as you enter? Or even a pretty piece to have on display on your mantle? Then this is the DIY craft for you!

No matter the space, this upcycle DIY floral-inspired craft is a perfect addition. Wouldn’t you agree? Let me show you how to take any wood sign, wall hanging, or DIY craft you found that you have created, but might feel it is not quite complete.

I love taking wood signs and turning them into wall accents. All you need to do is simply add a DIY bow and some florals to get the perfect wall hanger. These are even perfect for a craft booth filler idea. If you are looking at quick and easy items to make to help add more items to your booth then this is the answer.

Come along with me as I walk you step by step through the process of taking an average home decor piece to something of beauty and style. These steps are simple my friends. Let’s get to crafting and having some fun with flowers.

Directions

  • Grab your gorgeous 2.5” Cotton with Blue Hydrangeas Ribbon and your EZ Bow Maker. Create your first tail about 7”.Pleat into the center and slide into the center. Twist and turn the edge over. Create your layer of this bow with 2 loops on each side measuring 5”. Pinch and twist as you create your loops, paying attention to the correct side of this reversible ribbon.
  • Make your next tail popping off the top of your design opposite of the first. Slide your 1 cable tie on the back, pull it off, and secure it in the center. Insert your floral pin into the back before you pull it too tight.
Fluff and fancy. Cover your mechanics by folding over a small piece of ribbon over the center. Tie in the back and trim excess ribbon to give you a finished look. Grab your home decor board over and add floral foam at the top. Use hot glue and a bit of gorilla glue to be safe.
  • Add some Spanish moss to hide excess glue if necessary.
Bring over your Fishtail Fern greenery. Establish your perimeter to determine the size of your design to begin. Manipulate your fishtail fern, by trimming from the main bundle. Then push up to make them nice and full, along with shorter. Dip ends into the hot glue and inserts them into your floral foam, creating your base and shaping it so it curves around your board.
  • Insert here and there matching on both sides to build your base.
Bring over your bow. Dip the floral pin in hot glue before inserting into the foam. Add your Mauve and Beigh Mini BOHO Rose next. Trim from the main bundle with wire cutters. Insert pieces in and all around your floral foam supporting the fern base and bow. Pay attention to the details and accents as you work. Use the filler flowers to help your piece stand out from others.
  • Insert more greenery up toward the top in the back and throughout your bow. Divide into 2 bundles, and push them up towards the top. Keep them short and work with your pieces to keep your look soft and cohesive. Add here and there to fill in where necessary.

How To Hide Excess Glue?

If you are new to crafting, this question might be one you have asked yourself. And I will tell you that my best friend when creating any number of floral arrangements is Spanish Moss. If I have glue creep out onto my board, hide it with Spanish moss. When I have part of my grapevine showing, cover it with Spanish moss. If my mechanics are not easily covered with greenery or florals, Spanish moss. I suggest you have a good supply of it in your craft stash!

There you have it folks. An easy, gorgeous DIY craft that will look beautiful in your home, or the homes of those who buy them from your craft show. How many are you going to make more of these as gifts, too? I love this project!

  • Start by finding cutting the styrofoam so it is nestled inside of the Green Frankenstein Bucket so that it sits nicely inside and glue down. I like to use both Gorilla Glue and Hot Glue to really secure it for both now and long term.
  • Cut Black Garland Base into small sections and set your base, spreading for maximum coverage.
  • Prep your picks by grabbing your Purple Green Orange Felt Ball Twig Sprays. Sseparating them into smaller picks. You can also twist the black chenille around your finger to create a fun effect.
  • Trim your Glitter Eye Ball Picks and add to the stryofoam. Be sure to space them for the best visual display.
  • Cut and prep the White Black Chenille Curly Stems add some dimension to them by curling with your fingers to really give them life.
  • Stem back and look at your your centerpiece. Are thier bald or blank spaces? Fluff you black garland to fill and use the wires in your products from Keleas.com to really get the pieces where you want them.
  • Grab one of your Glitter Curly Velvet Ball Picks and trim the stem down to a couple of inches. Fluff out your pick, and then place it to the left of your bow, tucking it behind the bow to have it peek out from behind it.
