Ingredients
Directions
- Start by prepping your Moss Cross for your project. I started by adding a little piece of floral foam to the cross with hot glue and floral pins through the back of the cross. I wanted to add my greenery to the bottom of my cross rather than higher on the hanger, but you can do this however you’d like!
- Prep your Mini Fishtail Fern Bush by pushing the greenery up on the stems, and then cutting them to short stems. Start adding the stems into the floral foam. I added one to the top of the foam leaning to the left, then one leaning to the right.
- Do the same to the bottom side of the floral foam, with one leaning to the left, and one leaning to the right.
- Attach your bow to your floral foam using a floral pin. I attached the pin to the bow using a cable tie, because that’s how I like to assemble my bows.
- Now grab your Cream Wild Flower Bush and start breaking it down. The pieces tear down really nicely, so this is a simple process. Clean up the ends by cutting the stems. I cut down 3 of the bunches into 2 even smaller bunches as well.
- Add four of your larger bundles from your Cream Wild Flower Bush to your floral foam, two below the bow leaning to the left, and two above the bow leaning to the right.
- Now add four of your smaller pieces from your Cream Wild Flower Bush. I added these to the left and right of the bow by tucking them in and around the loops. I added two to the right side, pointing up and down, and two to the left side, pointing up and down.
- Add your final 2 pieces of your Cream Wild Flower Bush stems to the project. I added mine to the left and right of the bow across from each other, but add yours wherever you think you need a little more depth.
- Add three more Mini Fishtail Fern Bush stems, one coming out the top of the bow and two coming out the bottom of the bow, one leaning more to the left, and one to the right.
TIPS AND TRICKS
- Add different greenery to make the project your own! Use a variety of greenery, such as boxwood, eucalyptus, or ferns, to create a lush and textured look.
- Consider adding embellishments like faux flowers, berries, or ribbon for extra flair and seasonal charm.
- I used a wide ribbon for this bow, a 2.5”wire-edged ribbon, and I think that works best. But you are free to use this same bow with any type of ribbon you’d like to match your wreath. Your bow will be more floppy if you use a ribbon that is not wire-edged.
- Step back periodically to assess the placement and appearance of your door hanger, making any necessary adjustments for the best results.
