Ingredients
Directions
- For this design, we are going to have some of the greenery cascading down, so we need a really long stem for that. To do that, I cut all but 3 stems off one of my Olive Leaves Bushes. All the other bushes, just cut the stems off the bush, leaving as long of a stem as you can.
- Start by adding the first of your stems that are still attached to the bush to the wreath, on the left side, cascading down.
- Decide where you are going to add your bow. This is your “bow zone”.
- Start adding your stems into your wreath, following the shape of your wreath base. Be mindful of where you are adding these stems. You don’t want to just shove them in there. Really take your time, step back, see how your design is working.
- When you reach your bow zone, shift over to the other side of your “C” shape. I added a stem as long as I could, cascading down. This is going to be the longest point on this side of the wreath.
- Begin filling the greenery in, again. Go all the way back to the bow zone.
- Before you add your bow, take a step back and see if you have any holes. If you do, add a stem there. We want this wreath to be very full and lush, with or without the bow.
- Now, add your bow to your bow zone. If you want to see the bow that I used, check it out HERE!
- Now, take a step back again, fluff any pieces that need fluffing, and your wreath is complete!
TIPS AND TRICKS
- Change out the colors or elements to make the wreath your own. Add a bow, or leave it off. Add florals for a beautiful wreath! You can make this your own in so many ways.
- I love my glue skillet. I just melt hot glue sticks in a regular kitchen skillet, which allows me to just easily dip my stems into the glue rather than trying to get my glue where I need it with a glue gun.
- I added glue to some of my stems as I placed them into my wreath, but you can absolutely do a dry run. Just stick your stems into your wreath and you’re able to move them around until you’re happy with their placement.
How can I secure the greenery to the wreath base effectively?
To secure the greenery to the wreath base effectively, hot glue is an excellent option. Start by heating your hot glue gun and applying a generous amount of glue to the ends of each greenery stem. Press the glued end firmly onto the wreath base and hold it for a few seconds to ensure it sticks securely. For added stability, you can also apply a small ball of Spanish moss to the base of the stem and press it against the wreath base as you position it. This method ensures that your greenery stays in place, creating a beautiful, cascading effect.
What are some creative ways to display my Greenery Cascading Viral Wreath?
There are many creative ways to display your Greenery Cascading Viral Wreath, thanks to its versatile style that suits year-round decor!
