- Start by prepping your cute boot. I added a small block of floral foam into the boot, being sure it sits lower than the top of the boot, so it can be hidden by the florals and greenery.
- Break down your Cream Green Mini Fishtail Fern Bush into stems. I pushed my leaves up on the stems to make them a little shorter, and then cut them down into individual stems.
- Add some of your stems into your project. I added 4 to start with, one in the back standing tall, two in the middle of the project, draping over the sides of the boot, and one toward the front, draping over one of the frogs.
- Break down your Mixed Greenery Berry bush. You can just rip these apart, then clean up the stems. Sort them into the different types of greenery.
- Add two pieces of your stem that look like ivy to the center of your foam block, draping in between your fern pieces and a third slightly covering the second frog.
- Add your pieces with the berries next. I made little bundles with mine by twisting a piece that has berries with a piece that has an ivy or fern. I added 4 of these into the piece, spread around the perimeter.
- Add a couple longer greenery pieces to the back of the piece, near where the tallest fern is.
- Grab your leftover pieces of Cream Green Mini Fishtail Fern and add those to the center of the floral foam to break up the greenery you just put in. I added two, one leaning to the left and one to the right.
- Use your finger to wrap around the twigs and curl them. This gives a fun look. Add these twigs into your project, one near the back and one near the front, draping over the front of the boot.
- And your project is finished!
TIPS AND TRICKS
- Make this project your own! Add extra charm with faux flowers, moss, or other decorative elements. Change out the greenery for a different leaf that you love more. Add a fun bow for added color. Make it yours!
- I love my glue skillet. It’s a simple skillet for the kitchen that I melt my glue sticks in to allow me to just dip my stems in and easily add them to my wreath.
- If you are worried about placement, do a dry run! You can just add your stems into the wreath without the glue and then move them around until you‘re happy with the placement. Then add your glue for your final placement!
