- Start by breaking down your Sunflower Mixed Bushes. You’ll use 3 bushes in this wreath. I like to just rip them apart, then trim the longer pieces down so all the stems are about 2”.
- Go through each stem and “shake hands” with them. Spread out the greenery and florals. Twist the fun twigs around your finger to create a fun effect. Make the picks look as nice as possible before they even go into your wreath so that you have less work to do in the end.
- Grab 6 stems from your spray. I used the stems that didn’t have a big flower, because I want those to go toward the front of the wreath. Add these stems to your wreath around the perimeter, 3 above your “bow zone” and 3 below your “bow zone”.
- Now break down your Yellow Wind Dancer Floral Ball Bush. I cut these just below the bottom leaf on each stem, because I wanted these to be really dramatic!
- Add those stems to your wreath, 3 above the bow zone and 2 below. Follow the natural lines that you created with your greenery stems.
- Come back in and add the rest of the stems from your Sunflower Mixed Bushes. These will be the stems with the large sunflowers in them. I added mine toward the center of the wreath, continuing to follow those lines, and leaving a space for my bow.
- Now, add your bow to your bow zone. Be sure to fluff out your loops and weave your tails into your piece to make it all flow together nicely.
- Grab your last ball stem and add that coming out the top of the bow to add even more dimension.
- Break down your Button Leaf Hanging Bush into a few pieces. Cut 2 pieces from the bush that will stand up a little easier, and then 2 pieces that drape down. Add the 2 pieces that drape coming out from behind the bow. Add the two pieces that stand up a little easier to the area above the bow.
- Add your adorable Purple Mini Allium Stem just above the bow, and take a step back to see if your wreath needs anything else. Fluff your bow and your wreath is all ready for your door!
TIPS AND TRICKS
- I love my glue skillet. I just melt hot glue sticks in a regular kitchen skillet, which allows me to just easily dip my stems into the glue rather than trying to get my glue where I need it with a glue gun.
- I added glue to some of my stems as I placed them into my wreath, but you can absolutely do a dry run. Just stick your stems into your wreath and you’re able to move them around until you’re happy with their placement.
