- Start by prepping your Metal Patriotic Flower. Cut off the “America” sign at the bottom and save that for another project. Cut the hanger off above the curly parts, leaving those attached to the flower and a piece of wire.
- Attach the Metal Patriotic Flower with the wire you cut off. I attached this to the right side of my wreath, positioned with the blue and starry part of the flower to the upper left, just like the flag.
- Grab your 3 Green Eucalyptus Stems and cut them apart into bundles, with 3 stems on each bundle.
- Add 4 of your bundles of Eucalyptus stems to your wreath, two facing up and two facing down, around the perimeter of your wreath. Put the other 2 bundles to the side for later.
- Cut 2 of your Large Cream Berry Stems down to about 3” each, then add those to your wreath. I added one facing down and one facing up, both between the Eucalyptus stems.
- Fluff your 2 Dahlia Daisy Picks up, making sure they look nice, then cut them down to about a 3” stem as well. Layer these on top of the berries you added before, one facing up and one facing down.
- Add your bow to your bow zone. This is the gap you’ve created between your greeneries and florals.
- Grab the 2 Eucalyptus stem bundles you set aside, and pull them out of the bundles. Now you’ll have 6 individual stems of Eucalyptus.
- Add these stems behind the bow, coming out and around it. I love to use these to break the plane and add more dimension to the piece.
- Now grab your last Large Cream Berry Bush and cut the berries apart into 3 little clusters. I added the largest cluster, which had 5 berries, just above the bow, and the other two clusters just below the bow.
- Step back and look at your wreath, move around anything that needs it, and your wreath is done!
TIPS AND TRICKS
- This is a really symmetrical wreath, so I suggest adding an even number of florals, etc. to the top and bottom of the wreath. This will make a really visually appealing wreath you’re sure to love!
- If you love a bow, add one. If you want different colored florals, add those! This is your wreath. Make it your own!
- I love my glue skillet. It’s a simple skillet for the kitchen that I melt my glue sticks in to allow me to just dip my stems in and easily add them to my wreath.
- If you are worried about placement, do a dry run! You can just add your stems into the wreath without the glue and then move them around until you‘re happy with the placement. Then add your glue for your final placement!
