Directions

  • Start by breaking down your Rose and Dahlia Garland. I decided to create a couple types of bundles, with a combination of larger flowers and smaller flowers. I cut my garland into 6 pieces.
  • Now prep your Cream Green Mini Fishtail Fern Bush. I like to push the leaves up a bit on the stem, then separate it into individual stems. This is going to create the perfect base for your wreath.
  • Add your Cream Green Mini Fishtail Fern Bush stems into your wreath. This creates a beautiful base. I like to zigzag my greenery around the wreath, starting with a stem toward the outside of the wreath, then adding one toward the inside of the wreath. Leave a space for a “bow zone” and then switch directions, going down the wreath.
  • Stick your bigger flowers from your garland into your wreath. I added two sections of the garland that had the big dahlia flowers into the wreath, just above and below where the bow will go.
  • Add your two hydrangea stems from your garland next to your dahlias. I added mine toward the center of my wreath.
  • Now, add your large peony pieces into your wreath. I added mine above and below the bow zone, toward the outside of the wreath.
  • Attach your bow to your bow zone. This should be a large bow, with nice tails. I add mine to my wreath with a cable tie. Weave your tails into your wreath.
  • Prep your Queen Anne Lace Bush by cutting it into individual stems. Create a few bunches of two stems, and cut your stems to match.
  • Add two of your bunches to your wreath. I added one high up on the wreath, and another low down on the wreath. This symmetry looks very nice!
  • Now add your 3 individual Queen Anne Lace bush stems. I added one just above my bow, one just below my bow, and one above my bow, a little toward the center of the wreath.
  • Add your last 2 pieces from your garland into your wreath. I added one just behind the bow toward the outside of the wreath, and one all the way at the top of my wreath, below the larger bundle I added earlier.
  • Now, prep your Pink Berry Filler Stem. These stems can just tear apart, so they are super easy to break down.
  • Find your background greenery, then add one of your Pink Berry Filler Stems just in front of it. These stems will add a lot of dimension to the foreground of your wreath.
  • Now grab the rest of your Cream Green Mini Fishtail Fern Bush stems and start adding them again around the perimeter. I added two in a small bundle toward the ends of the design, on both the top and bottom, and an individual stem above and below the bow.
  • Prep your 31″ Willow Spray by twisting some of the ends around your finger to create some fun movement, and cut the spray down into smaller stems.
  • Add one Willow stem to the top of the wreath, and add one to the bottom of the wreath.
  • Fluff your ribbons in your bow and any flowers that you’d like, and then your wreath is completed!

TIPS AND TRICKS

  • Change out the colors or elements to make the wreath your own. Add two bows, or add another focal element. Use different greenery and florals. You could even use Christmas or Halloween elements to make it a totally different look! The best part of this wreath is that it’s so easily customizable!
  • I love my glue skillet. I just melt hot glue sticks in a regular kitchen skillet, which allows me to just easily dip my stems into the glue rather than trying to get my glue where I need it with a glue gun.
  • I added glue to some of my stems as I placed them into my wreath, but you can absolutely do a dry run. Just stick your stems into your wreath and you’re able to move them around until you’re happy with their placement.

How do I secure the florals to the wreath base?

Securing the florals to the wreath base is simple yet effective. Start by adding hot glue to attach the stems of the florals to the grapevine wreath base securely. Hot glue provides a strong hold and dries quickly, ensuring the florals stay in place. You can anchor the stems further by pushing Spanish Moss into the wreath at the base of the stems, which not only adds a natural touch but also helps conceal any wire or glue for a seamless finish. This combination of hot gluing and anchoring with Spanish Moss ensures that your florals remain firmly attached to the wreath base, creating a beautiful and long-lasting Pink Garden Wreath.
