- Start by prepping your Burgundy Oval Container by adding a couple pieces of floral foam to build your arraignment on top of. I glued the foam pieces together with hot glue, then added a couple dowels for extra stability.
- Now break down both of your Purple Twig Flower Stem bush. I love these to add height to our project. I cut mine with about a 2” stem below the lowest flowers.
- Start adding these stems to the center of your design. I love to create this project so that it will be beautiful from the front and back, so turn your design around to be sure you are loving it from all the way around.
- Now break down your Blue Purple Berry Stem bush. It will break down with 3 longer pieces and a bunch of shorter pieces. I added these longer pieces to the piece, one on each side of the long purple twig flower stems and one in the center of the purple twig flowers.
- Now add all your shorter pieces around the base of the purple twig flower stems. I had 6 shorter stems to add.
- Grab your Purple Peony Bush. I love the flowers on this bush, but the leaves seem more fall-like to me. I decided I wanted to just use the flowers, so I pushed the leaves down and just used the florals.
- Start adding your larger peony flowers to your piece, really low, covering the floral foam. I love that these cover so much of the base.
- Add a couple of your filler flowers in and around the larger flowers until the majority of your floral foam is no longer showing.
- Now cut down your Lavender Filler Bush into small stems and begin adding them in and around the peony stems.
- Fluff any blooms and turn those leaves to face the front of your project and your project is finished!
TIPS AND TRICKS
- Rotate the arrangement as you work to be sure it looks great from all angles, especially if you are using this arrangement where you’ll be able to see the back!
- Make this project your own! Add extra charm with other flowers, moss, or other decorative elements. Change out the greenery for a different leaf that you love more. Add a fun bow for added color. Make it yours!
- I love my glue skillet. It’s a simple skillet for the kitchen that I melt my glue sticks in to allow me to just dip my stems in and easily add them to my wreath.
- If you are worried about placement, do a dry run! You can just add your stems into the wreath without the glue and then move them around until you‘re happy with the placement. Then add your glue for your final placement!
