Ingredients
Directions
- Begin by deciding where your scarecrow will go. I like putting my centerpieces to the side of the base, so I know where she will go. Set your scarecrow to the side, but remember where you will be placing it. You could even mark your foam with some scissors to remind yourself to keep that space open.Â
- Start by breaking down your first Leaf Mini Pumpkin Spray. I pulled it apart into 3 pieces. Use these pieces to create the perimeter of your centerpiece. I put one on each side of the bucket, and one in the front. Bend these stems over and fluff them out to cover the side of the bucket.Â
- Take your Twig Hanging Vine and break it into smaller pieces. Create little bundles of twigs by folding pieces on themselves and securing with a cable tie.Â
- Place a cluster of twigs between the 3 spray pieces from step 2.Â
- Now, get your scarecrow ready for your centerpiece by attaching a couple little pieces of twigs on her hat, and add glue to her feet before placing her in the centerpiece in the place you decided earlier.Â
- Add your bow to your centerpiece. I added mine to the other side of the bucket.Â
- Break down your Orange Ranunculus Filler Bush, trying to keep the stems as long as possible. I want these stems to be nearly as tall as our scarecrow.Â
- Begin placing your Ranunculus bush pieces into the foam. I added the tallest pieces just beside the scarecrow, and added shorter pieces to fill in the back of your arrangement.Â
- Break down your second Leaf Mini Pumpkin Spray to finish up the front and fill in the back of your centerpiece. I added two pieces to the front, filling in near the scarecrow’s feet.Â
- Fill in the back of your centerpiece, just to cover up all the foam. I added a couple bunches of twigs as well as the pieces from the sprays.Â
- Add a piece of the spray coming out the bow in the front, and your centerpiece is all done!Â
TIPS AND TRICKS
- Change out the colors or elements to make the centerpiece your own. Add a different bow or centerpiece. Use different greenery and florals. You could even use Christmas or Halloween elements to make it a totally different look! The best part of this centerpiece is that it’s so easily customizable!
- I love my glue skillet. I just melt hot glue sticks in a regular kitchen skillet, which allows me to just easily dip my stems into the glue rather than trying to get my glue where I need it with a glue gun.
- I added glue to some of my stems as I placed them into my centerpiece, but you can absolutely do a dry run. Just stick your stems into your centerpiece and you’re able to move them around until you’re happy with their placement.
Can I use other flowers for this centerpiece?
Absolutely, you can let your creativity bloom by experimenting with various flower choices for your Scarecrow Side Table Floral Arrangement. While traditional fall flowers like sunflowers, chrysanthemums, and daisies work beautifully to capture the essence of autumn, you have a wide array of options. Consider incorporating seasonal blooms like marigolds, asters, or even roses in rich, warm hues to craft a unique centerpiece. Additionally, you can blend in some dried elements like wheat stalks, colorful foliage, or decorative branches to add texture and depth. The key is to select flowers and greenery that resonate with your personal style and the overall look you want to achieve.
Fall Floral Centerpiece vs. Side Table Arrangement
A Fall Floral Centerpiece typically takes center stage on a dining or coffee table, serving as a striking focal point for a room or a festive addition to your dining experience. It often features a larger assortment of flowers and foliage, making a bold statement. On the other hand, a Side Table Arrangement is designed to complement your existing decor and adds a touch of autumn charm to smaller surfaces like side tables, entryway consoles, or mantels. It’s more compact and can be crafted with a variety of container options, including baskets or decorative pots. The choice ultimately depends on whether you want a grand centerpiece for gatherings or a subtle arrangement that adds a cozy, seasonal touch throughout your room.
